At the foot of the Cross

The first light of dawn saw about 200 young (and not so young) members and friends of Down Presbytery meet to remember the first resurrection morning.

We were reminded whilst this morning and Christ’s bodily resurrection were moments of high-drama there are also times of routine within our Christian walk.

The morning provided a perfect start to an Easter Sunday and allowed us to focus all our attention on the reason for the celebration.

We are the people of the living God

We acknowledge our sin and our inability to repay our debt

We praise the grace of a saving God

We acknowledge Jesus as fully God and fully man

We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ

We accept His sacrifice as the full payment for our sins

We believe that He ascended into heaven

We offer our lives in worship and accept Jesus Christ as Lord in our lives
